Welcome Jennifer Cabala — Creandum’s new Head of Network

We are excited to welcome Jennifer Cabala as the new Head of Network. With an impressive background in tech, venture capital and journalism, Jennifer brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our Creandum team. We’re excited to have her on board based in Berlin, a city she has proudly called home for the past seven years.

At Creandum, Jennifer will play a pivotal role in developing and managing our portfolio network. Working closely with our visionary founders, skilled operators and strategic partners, her commitment to fostering a thriving, innovative network will be an important asset to the Creandum portfolio and family.

An American by birth, she made a remarkable transition from the world of journalism to the tech industry. As a former journalist, she has always had her finger on the pulse of new things, making her a perfect fit for the dynamic tech industry.

Jennifer established her journey into the tech world when she joined Techstars, one of the world’s most recognized startup accelerators. She was instrumental in building their first corporate program in collaboration with Microsoft, where she selected the companies for investment and shaped the program.

While at Techstars, Jennifer wrote the accelerator playbook and helped scale the accelerator to 28 cities globally. Eventually, Jennifer stepped into the role of VP of Community at Techstars, growing the community to members in 120 countries, fostering a global ecosystem of collaboration and innovation.

Most recently, Jennifer was the Head of Platform at London-based VC, Mosaic Ventures, where she further honed her skills in supporting and nurturing startups and in building productive networks.

Though she has seen more than 1000 startup pitches and has been an influential figure in the tech industry, Jennifer’s unique background extends beyond her professional achievements. Growing up on a horse ranch, she’s skilled in barrel racing, a testament to her daring spirit. Her journalistic career allowed her to have numerous unforgettable experiences: the opportunity to attend the Oscars, fight a forest fire from a helicopter, and even run with the Olympic torch.

Jennifer’s vast experiences and her unique perspective make her an invaluable addition to the Creandum family. Her connection and understanding of both the American and European tech ecosystems will undoubtedly benefit our portfolio companies and our efforts to provide them with the best possible support.
