Germany, Sweden or UK are great places to start and grow your company, but data shows the very largest companies in the world tend to win the US market. It’s the world’s largest economy, a rather homogenous market and the center of gravity for the largest tech companies and VC funding.

However, doing business and raising money in an unfamiliar, highly-competitive environment requires thoughtful advance planning and clinical execution. This is why Creandum has an office in San Francisco, to serve companies with a tangible bridge into the US market

On May 15th Creandum is facilitating a breakfast Q&A session in Berlin, for selected early stage companies who believe US is a good target market for expansion. It’ll be a casual conversation where we will discuss best practices for navigating the logistical aspects of launching and operating a German business in the States, and setting and meeting expectations for US later-stage funding.

Some of the topics covered are:

  • When to establish US operations
  • When to raise money from US VCs
  • If a US company is required to raise money from US VCs
  • Where is the best place to set up in the States
  • Costs associated to launching the US market
  • Selling/pitching in the US as non-US founder
  • Hiring differences in the US, and what’s the optimal US team

The discussion will be led by Carl Fritjofsson who is Creandum’s Partner in the US, and Daniel Glazer who leads the US Expansion group at Silicon Valley-headquartered Wilson Sonsini.

Join us on May 15 to discuss best practices around US expansion

We want to give you the chance to be part of it and are offering 5 spots to join the event. If you are a kick ass startup that is interested to expand to the US — let us know and apply here https://forms.gle/e3aXZjycJ6FFYyJw9 or feel free to ping you favourite Creandum contact. 🇺🇸💪
